RB Works Inc. Help Desk supports all types of clients 365 days per year, 24 hours per day. And is looking for a Junior Tech who is willing to learn in a team environment.

The Junior Help Desk Technician will serve on a team with other Help Desk technicians with Tier 1, 2 and 3 support personnel. The HelpDesk is a 24X7 help desk supporting many different types of clients. Support is both phone support and dispatch to the user' computer. The IT environment is primarily Microsoft based with some UNIX.

The Help Desk Junior Technician should have on the job training or technical training in the following:
  • Trouble shooting and resolving user application problems, such as diagnosing and resolving Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, Exchange, Office 2003 applications.
  • Integrating, configuring, and installing PCs, RAM chips, processor chip, motherboards, ultra wide SCSI cards, removable hard disk drives, zip drives, laptops, PC cards, personal electronic devices, printers, network printers, various COTS software, Remote Access Service (RAS), remote modem connections, portable computer projection system, PC NIC cards, Windows 2000 and XP operating system, Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Familiarity Active Directory Administrative Tools.
  • Managing and operating a 24 x 7 Customer Help Desk Center where telephonic, and on-site support are provided.
  • Implementing and monitoring quality performance metrics to measure the performance of Help Desk service.
  • Managing 3rd party hardware maintenance service and procedures.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
Must have training in Microsoft, Internet and network fundamentals -

Certifications are desirable - i.e. Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Office User Specialist, World Wide Web, and basic data communications.

A+ maintenance certification a plus.
